Type of Protection	What It Means for You
Loss of Deposit	If Longview Homes could not start your project (for example, in case of insolvency), you’re protected for up to 10% of the contract value (subject to the maximum set by Master Build).
Non-Completion	If work has begun and, for reasons beyond your control, the build can’t be completed by us, you’ll be covered (again under the terms of the guarantee) to help get the project finished.
Workmanship & Materials	Any defects in the way the house was built, or in the materials used, are covered for the first year after you move in.
Major Structural Defects	Issues like weather-tightness failures, load bearing defects, rot or decay are protected for up to ten years.
Temporary Accommodation	If the house becomes uninhabitable due to a valid claim under the guarantee, you’re covered for accommodation costs (up to the limit set by the scheme).
Transferability	If you sell within the 10-year period, the guarantee remains in place and passes to the new owner—adding value and peace of mind to your property.
