Ocean Road New Build

This home is situated in a new subdivision amongst other architecturally designed homes. Even though it was a beachfront site we built a timber floor raising it a meter of the ground ensuring sea views over the dunes

Being in a harsh environment in a sea spray zone durable and hardy materials is a high priority. Stria vertically fixed fibre cement weather boards provide a hard wearing and stable cladding, with a feature cladding of Cedar weather boards to the pavilion gables. Colorsteel Maxx Longrun roofing enhances the straight lines of the roof.

With a large roof space not utilized we got our truss designer to create purpose designed trusses which created a whole extra room in the attic. This was able to be fitted out with linings and insulation. Great use of space. Weatherproof LED lights fitted to the entry steps make an eye-catching feature and provides adequate lighting to the stairs at night.

Stunning feature areas of Cedar weatherboard complimented the Stria cladding. Kitchen design was led by the clients' ideas and achieved an open feel. B By raising the floor 1m views of the sea were achieved from a single level. This allowed a better flow from indoor to outdoor and a million-dollar view was maintained.

Floating timber flooring in the living, dining and kitchen frames the sea view. Also providing an easy clean and hardwearing surface needed for a busy home at the beach.
