Brenton Build

This was a custom design and build with a fixed price contract. The entire project from earthworks to handover was completed over20 weeks In Awakeri, Bay of Plenty for Dave and Christine. With 360 degree views the brief was to have every room with a knock out view.

This project used Allied Concrete Q Pod Super Slab foundations. And Colorsteel Profiled sheets for wall cladding and roof as this allows our clients who have busy lives to achieve a very low maintenance home. The client initially loved the concept of one of our standard plans, and after collating their ideas and wish list, our designer drew up a customised floor plan that hit the target. With a small available build platform, the design had to fit within the specified footprint which was achieved by a productive collaboration of our designer, the client and Longview Homes all working together. Time frame was an important consideration as the owner were living in a small cabin during winter. And to add an extra measure this build was during the major material shortage crisis. We overcame this by clearly planning out milestones and identifying critical targets. Material orders were made even before the build began.

The result being we handed over 2 days before our programmed completion signed in the contract before the project began. All the while still achieving the high standards of finish and completion we set for team.

All our homes allow for flexibility for your to get the kitchen that works for you. After an initial consultation with our kitchen designer the client was able to get their preferences detailed. Resulting in a personalised kitchen and scullery suited to how they live.

Attention to detail and taking pride in our work. Our client was rapt when their custom home won an award at the Master Builders House of the year 2023.

With many challenges to this build being, on top of a steep hill with a small platform, material shortages and price increases, we still hit our target. On time, on budget and a high level of finish. Job done!
